So in typical Katrina fashion, I was a little late to the Spotify party. But I’m glad I finally showed up. For a music nerd like me…this is like finding the gold at the end of the rainbow!  Think iTunes store meets Napster minus the CDs and all the legal insanity.  It’s just music…lots and lots of music.

I admit I’m still playing with the Premium free trial, but so far it’s had every song or artist I’ve looked for (I even found some Flickerstick circa 2003! that was random!). It will create radio stations based on what you listen to, personal Top 10 lists and suggest concerts in your area(s). You can make playlists and then share them with all of your friends, no CD necessary. It really doesn’t get much cooler than that.

It’s also perfectly portable. It syncs with my iPhone so I’m able to listen to those same playlists in my car, while I’m cleaning the house or sitting in front of my computer. And did I mention it’s perfect for new band exploration? What do you have to lose? In less than a week I’ve checked out all of those bands I wanted to explore, I just never got a chance to.

From the sounds of this post you’d think I was getting paid by these folks…I wish I was (Spotify, please hire me!)! Nope, not a cent…I just think it’s that awesome. =)
